I’m Tevia Feng. I am a full-time Award-winning Qigong instructor, having plublished three books in multiple languages. But my life hasn’t always looked like that.
I was born with a chronic illness. My parents did not want me in hospitals my entire life and on endless medications. By the age of 7, they got me into Qigong so that I could strengthen my fragile state of health.
For years I struggled with terrible back pain due to an injury from a car accident. My whole life, I was in pain while the rest of my family and friends were enjoying life, holidays, and family activities.
The sickness had left me mostly house-bound and often bed-bound. The doctors told me the only solution would be several painful spinal surgeries that might or might not fix the problem. I fell into alternating states of anger, denial, and despair.
It took me years to find my way back to a life of fulfillment and joy. The journey started when I looked more deeply at the Qigong.
I discovered that this unique method provided instant relief, deeply relaxed me, and strengthened my back so much that I now feel half my age.
The result was dramatic, and it gave me my life back. And it has for hundreds of my students, as well.
The Five Element Theory is an ancient understanding of the natural world. It is expressed and experienced through the consistent movement and transformation of our environment, with the elements being interrelated and influencing each other. We, as human beings, are also an integral part of this system.
This meditation focuses on the five solid (Yin) organs of the body and their corresponding element:
Corresponding emotional component: excess desire/contentment with the heart.
Corresponding emotional component: anger/forgiveness with the liver.
Corresponding emotional component: sadness/happiness with the lungs.
Corresponding emotional component: worry/nurtured and supported with the spleen.
Corresponding emotional component: fear/courage with the kidneys.
Qigong encourages the free flow of energy around the body, combining considered movements with breath and mental engagment.
